About CrowdCAD
Team
CrowdCAD was created by a team within the Berkeley Medical Reserve Corps. The project brings together operational experience in volunteer event medicine, dispatch workflow insight, software development, and research into how event medical systems function in practice.

Evan Passalacqua
Founder & Designer
Evan led the direction of CrowdCAD from its inception, designing both the dispatch interface and the overall UX/UI. He shaped the project around the operational realities of volunteer event medical teams and continues to guide strategic decisions.

Ivan Zhang
Co-founder & Backend Developer
Ivan co-founded CrowdCAD and has been instrumental in backend software development and system architecture. He also contributed to other aspects of the project, helping translate operational needs into a practical, maintainable web-based system.

Sophia Levin
Education Director
Sophia has focused on designing an educational curriculum to train collegiate EMTs to act as event medical dispatchers. Her role involved creating instructional materials to explain dispatcher responsibilities and developing scenario simulations to allow novice dispatchers to practice.

Deren Bog
EMS Research Lead
Deren has helped connect the project's design choices to the broader context of event medicine, volunteer EMS, and field operations research. This work helps ensure that CrowdCAD is informed both by practice and by published evidence.
