Lite Mode
Lite Mode provides a browser-local way to evaluate CrowdCAD workflows with lower deployment overhead. It is designed to reduce centralized storage requirements in early-stage use and should be assessed against local operational and legal needs.
Overview
Lite Mode is intended for teams that want to understand CrowdCAD's event dispatch flow without beginning with a full managed infrastructure deployment. It can be a practical starting point for evaluation and low-infrastructure contexts.
How Lite Mode works at a high level
In Lite Mode, workflow data is handled in the local browser context for the active environment. This design can reduce reliance on centralized storage during early evaluation and limited-scope operations.
Exact operational fit depends on your team's requirements for persistence, collaboration model, retention expectations, and governance controls.
What Lite Mode is good for
- • Initial workflow evaluation by operational leaders and dispatchers.
- • Teams with limited technical capacity that need a lower-overhead starting point.
- • Early pilot operations where infrastructure commitments are still being assessed.
- • Training and familiarization before deciding on broader deployment architecture.
Important limitations and evaluation points
- • Lite Mode is not a universal compliance solution.
- • Legal, privacy, and retention requirements vary by jurisdiction and organization type.
- • Some organizations will require stronger centralized administration and governance controls.
- • Operational documentation expectations may require deployment decisions beyond Lite Mode.
When to consider self-hosting instead
Self-hosting may be the better fit when your organization needs centralized multi-user administration, stronger environment-level governance controls, integration flexibility, or infrastructure ownership aligned with internal policy.
Questions to evaluate internally
- • What information will be entered during event operations?
- • What retention obligations apply to your incident and patient documentation?
- • Who is accountable for deployment, access review, and policy alignment?
- • What operational controls are required for your organization's risk posture?
Disclaimer note
Lite Mode may simplify deployment for some organizations, but each organization is responsible for determining whether it is appropriate for its legal, privacy, and operational requirements. This documentation is not legal or compliance advice.
